Berlin is calling!

Hi lovely people,

Still less than a week and then It’s time to celebrate my birthday. I’m really looking forward to it since I’m celebrating it with my schoolfriends on a study tour in Berlin! I can’t wait to explore Berlin! Many people I know are telling me good things about Berlin so my expectations are very high! If some of you still have good tips to make this trip even better, they are always welcome!

But another thing now. Do you guys already know Pull-in? Well, Pull-in is a French underwear brand created by Emmanuel Lohéac. They stand for products with a right amound of comfort, quality and originality! We sure can say that they have a great eye for detail and a big respect for the different fabrics. Pull-in is more then just underwear, it’s like a fashion accesoire made to express yourself.

So what is a better occasion then my birthday to treat myself with some awesome Pull-in underwear. I made a selection of my favorite pieces from their collection!

Birds of Paradise!

Hi lovely people,

Yesterday I had the chance to discover the new exhibition in the Fashion Museum of Antwerp with a few fellow bloggers. We had a great evening, talking to each other and taking a look at this wonderful exhibition for the first time.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

The exhibition “Birds of Paradise” is an ode to the plumes and feathers in fashion. Plumes and feathers have always been a sign of beauty and preciousness. Like by princesses and queens to express their femininity by using feathered folding fans when going to a ball.

Kate McCgwire

For designers, it’s always been interesting to use the feather as a sign of freedom and lightness. Thierry Mugler used these feathers to create his own “bird woman”, a silhouette with the form of a butterfly.

Alexander McQueen is also one of the designers whose work is shown at the exhibition. With his own interpretation of the swan Lake, a design based on the duality between the white, good, swan and the black, bad, swan!

Dress MoMu

I was impressed by the different silhouettes and the lovely scenography of the exhibition by Bob Verhelst. I also want to thank Belmodo and MoMu Antwerp for this lovely evening.

It’s still possible to visit the exhibition till the 24th of August.

Much love,

Raf Simons after a long break!

Hi lovely people,

It’s been a long time since I made a new blogpost. But It was very busy for me lately. I had a lot of work for school and it was hard for me to find the time to work on my blog. But the good news is that I will try to work on my blog more often.

But after a long break it’s always great to promote some belgian talent. So I’m glad that I can tell you all that Fred Perry and Raf Simons are releasing their, already, 9th collection together.

The SS14 collection is stylish, sober and refined. Really typical for Raf Simons. The different patterns and nice colors are great too! The collection is designed in vibrant, fresh colours such as orange, white, Persian blue, pink and yellow.

Raf Simons - Fred Perry

One of my favorite pieces is the geometric twill Harrington jacket, a jacquard bomber jacket with a sparrow print and of course the Fred Perry Shirt, who makes its appearance with a variation of detachable collars.

The SS14 collection is for sale since February 27th 2014 in their different Fred Perry stores.

Much love,

“Playful Dream” – VOGUE

Hi lovely people,

I have to admit it, I love fashion and I love food. And what is better than combining these two? That is also exactly what Vogue Gioiello thought! In its fashion editorial titled ‘Playful Dream’ published in the May 2013 issue, Vogue Gioiello created a delicious bunch of LEGO-made dishes combined with luxurious jewelry from brands like Fendi and Gavello.

Playful DreamThese LEGO-made dishes aren’t only really beautiful, they also bring back a lot of childhood memories! The LEGO-menu includes a slice of pizza, a great looking burger with fries, spaghetti bolognese and delicious sushi! These pictures are styled by Enrica Ponzellini and shot by Fabrice Fouillet. It looks like their collaboration has an amazing result!

MODA Made in Italy!

Hi lovely people,

It’s been very busy lately, so that’s the reason why it took so long for me to post another article on my blog. But it was worth waiting because I have something really great to share with you guys. Last tuesday, I went to the Fashion Museum of Hasselt to check out their new exhibition “MODA Made in Italy”.

Moda

Italy is the place to be for many fashion lovers and has a great history of fashion! And what is a better place to show this wonderful history then the Fashion Museum of Hasselt! They did a great job bringing the warm and cozy Italian atmosphere to the museum thanks to the great scenography of Massimo Pignanelli (MASS architects) in combination with the refined Italian pieces of clothing! I really enjoyed this exhibition that tells the story of the Italian fashion industry, from the birth of fabrics to L’atra moda.

MODASo make sure you visit the “MODA Made in Italy” exhibition. You can visit the exhibition till saturday the 9th of february. Also don’t forget to like their Facebook page to stay in touch about upcoming exhibitions in the future.

“Vintage per kilo”-vibe!

Dear people,

Vintage per kilo

Yesterday evening, my boyfriend and I made an impulsive trip from Limburg all the way to Brussels! The place where you can find chocolate and beer on every streetcorner! But we don’t went to Brussels to get drunk on beer or to gain 20 kilo by eating chocolate, no! We went to Brussels to check out the Brussels after work shopping and vintage market.

Vintage per kiloVintage per kiloGoing to the vintage market was great! It was the first time I had the chance to experience the whole “vintage per kilo“-vibe! I can assure you that it was hard finding clothes in that total madness but it was worth it! It was great seeing all these people, searching for the perfect piece to take it home and I love the idea of giving old clothes a second life! Here are some pictures of the items I bought!
